The ConnectScale

The ConnectScale Fishing App is what we’ve all been waiting for. It is the solution to weighing and keeping track of data from fishing trips and local or online fishing tournaments.

The ConnectScale has a built-in Bluetooth that connects to the app. It automatically records weight, air temperature, date/time, and the GPS location of your catches. If you don’t want to use cellular data just manually enter the data later. Pair the scale to the app under Bluetooth settings. Set your preferred weight settings to (KG or LBS), length (inches or centimeters), and temperature (F° or C°). Then your scale and app will be paired with the same settings. Water-resistant with a built-in thermometer and a weight capacity at whopping 55 LBS. The scale comes with a lip gripper and a hook attachment to weigh different species by the gills.

How the App Works

Add your catch by tapping “ADD CATCH” then take a picture or add a photo from your library. Then you can use the automatically logged GPS location or choose a location on the map if it was a previous catch. You can then enter the weight, species, length, bait/lure, the fishing technique used, waterway, air temp, water temp, and add to a notes field. Turn off private catch so you can share the location with others or turn it on so nobody knows your secret spot.

The “HOME” button you can check out your feed which features your catches, public catches, and your friends catches. Filter out anything you don’t want to see and set it to what you want in your feed based on baits, technique, species, waterway, weight, date, and tournaments.

Check out the “EVENTS” tab and view a list of new and old tournaments. My favorite part is you can look at all of your current and old tournaments you’ve fished in. Also included is a culling feature to help manage your catches during tournaments. When using the culling feature add a new tournament culling session by tapping the trophy icon. Add a photo of the event or tournament and give it a name or title. Keep your event private and choose if you want your GPS to track the distance and route you traveled during the event. You can use a numeric and color tagging system.

Lastly, check out the “PROFILE” tab. Where you can follow others and see the number of followers you have and how many are following you. You can also see how many catches total you have logged, your personal best, and your average weight. View your last three tournaments or view the analytics chart of catches of results by species, bait/lure, and fishing techniques used. Look at all of your pin drops on your catches on a map.

With a quality scale that connects to your phone, you will never lose track again. So the next time someone mentions buying a scale, mention ConnectScale they will love it!
